Virginia Man Dies After Pickup Collides With Dump Truck

A driver from Rixeyville, VA, died at the scene of the Brandywine crash, according to Prince George's County Police.

A Virginia man died when his pickup truck collided with a dump truck Tuesday morning, authorities say.

Police have identified the victim as 72-year-old Jasper Mullins Jr. of Rixeyville, VA.

About 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, a crash between the pickup truck and a dump truck was reported at the intersection of Aquasco Road and Horsehead Road.

The driver of the pickup truck, Mullins, suffered critical injuries. He was pronounced dead on the scene, Prince George’s County Police said.

Investigators say Mullins’ pickup truck attempted to make a left turn onto Aquasco Road in front of the dump truck, which was northbound on Aquasco Road.
