Virginia Woman Dies In Laurel Car Crash: Prince George's Police
A Virginia woman died in a car crash in Laurel Sunday, according to Prince George's Police. Anyone with information is asked to call police.
LAUREL, MD — Police continue to investigate a fatal two-vehicle crash that happened Sunday in Laurel. A passenger, 45-year-old Parbati Sharma of Herndon, Virginia, died in that crash.
On March 24 around 6 p.m., Prince George's police officers were called to the area of Laurel Bowie Road and Mallard Drive for a report of a crash. They found a driver and four passengers inside a Toyota SUV, including Sharma with injuries. They were taken to a hospital with serious injuries where Sharma was pronounced dead. The driver of the Jeep SUV reported minor injuries, according to police.
The preliminary investigation indicates the two SUVs collided in the northbound lanes of Laurel Bowie Road. The cause of the collision is under investigation. Anyone with information about this case can call investigators at 301-731-4422.
