Washington, D.C., Man Fatally Hit By Vehicle In Hyattsville: Police
A Washington, D.C., man has been fatally hit by a vehicle in Hyattsville. The driver involved remained on the scene, according to police.
PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — A 59-year-old Washington, D.C., man has died after he was hit by a vehicle while attempting to cross Landover Road.
Prince George's police officers were called to the 5400 block of Landover Road in Hyattsville Dec. 9 around 7:10 p.m. for a report of a fatal pedestrian collision. They found Andrea Herron in the road. Herron was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead several hours later, the police department reported.

A preliminary investigation indicates that the involved driver hit Herron as he attempted to cross the road. The driver involved in the incident remained on the scene, according to police.
