Water Main Bursts In PG County Neighborhood (Video)
A water main burst in a Prince George's County neighborhood Monday afternoon.
HYATTSVILLE, MD — Authorities have shut off a water main that burst in a Hyattsville neighborhood on Monday afternoon, but not before many gallons of water were spilled, according to reports.
NBC 4's Brad Frietas tweeted video of the scene shortly after it burst (embedded below), which showed a large amount of water gushing onto a quiet neighborhood street.
He reported that water was "filling the streets and racing past dozens of homes."

NBC 4's Darcy Spencer reported shortly before 5 p.m. that the water had been shut off, and workers had begun digging on 75th Avenue to make repairs.
