What's Open, Closed In Bowie On Easter, Good Friday
How do Easter and Good Friday affect trash pickup? Is the post office open? Here are the holiday schedule changes around Bowie.
BOWIE, MD — Easter and Good Friday will be a little different this time around. With coronavirus cases still high, many celebrations were canceled. The one thing locals can count on is a scheduled holiday.
Many government services are already affected by coronavirus closures, but the holiday will shake up their hours more. Here is what's opened and closed around Friday and Sunday's holidays:
Prince George's County Government Offices: County government offices will be open on Friday but closed on Sunday. A full list of when each county office and service will reopen is available at this link.

City of Bowie Government Offices: City government offices will be open on Friday but closed on Sunday. A full list of when each city office and service will reopen is available at this link.
Courts: Courts will be open on Friday but closed on Sunday. Court hours are listed here.

Parks: All parks will be open for their normal hours. For the latest updates about what parks and recreation facilities have reopened, residents can call (301) 446-3222 for a full list.
Libraries: All branches of the Prince George's County Memorial Library System are still closed for coronavirus. Patrons can now reserve books online for curbside pickup. The service will be available on Friday but not on Sunday.
Post Offices: Post offices will be open on Friday but closed on Sunday.
Trash and Recycling: Curbside trash and recycling pickup in the City of Bowie will continue as scheduled on Friday and Sunday. A schedule of Bowie's trash and recycling operations is available here.
Trains: The Metrorail and Metrobus will run on their normal schedules this Friday and Sunday. Their holiday changes are posted here.
TheBus in Prince George's County will operate on its normal schedule on Friday, but it will not run on Sunday.
The MARC train will operate on Friday and Sunday. All MARC schedules are listed on its website.
