Cape Cougars Hold PAL to One Touchdown in Division III Game

The 11-U team for the Cape St. Claire Cougars took on the PAL Hawks on Wednesday at Bay Head Park in Division III youth football.

  • Cape drove the length of the field on the first drive of the third quarter capping the drive with a touchdown.
  • Cape converted on the extra point to take a 7-6 lead.
  • Strong defense by Cape in the fourth quarter forced PAL to turn the ball over on downs near their own 30-yard line.
  • Cape drove the ball in for a second touchdown.
  • Final score: Cape 13, PAL 6

Noteworthy accomplishments:
The offensive line was led by Joey Fellows, Isaac Middelton, Gabe Amaya, Matt Johansen, Steve Schneider and DaShaun Williams. They fought and clawed their way down field as Jason Carcamo and Tony Robles inched out tough yards inside.

Breakaway runs by Carson Chambers helped keep the offensive drives alive while Cape won the battle for field position.
