Cougars Offensive Line Leads to Victory Over Gators, 37-12
The Cape St. Claire Cougars 11-U team are still undefeated after facing the Davidsonville Gators on Tuesday night.

On Tuesday night, the Cape St. Claire Cougars 11-U team traveled to to take on the Gators in a Division II matchup.
The Gators struck first on their opening drive to take a 6-0 lead leaving the Cougar faithful slightly stunned. The Cougars, as they have all year so far, responded right away. They came out in no huddle and ran their famous “wedge” play seven times in a row driving the ball inside the Gator 10-yard line before the Gators were forced to call a timeout to try to slow the Cougars.
The timeout was little help, as the Cougars were in the end zone just two plays later and Zach Doyle scored the first of his four touchdowns on the night. Ronnie Demarino booted the extra point and the Cougars lead, 8-6.

The Gators bit back with another long touchdown play to regain the lead, 12-8. That would be the last the Gators would be heard from the rest of the game. The Cougars scored touchdowns on the next four plays from scrimmage to take a 30-12 lead at halftime.
The Cougars had two players rush for more than 100 yards.

- Zack Doyle: 132 yards and four touchdowns on just nine carries
Mark Jones and Ben Hudson also got carries, and Hudson was able to get the ball in the end zone, scoring the final point of the night.
During halftime, a thick blanket of fog rolled in and you could barely see the other side of the field. Unfortunately for the Gators, the Cougar defense blanketed the Gator offense just as badly. The Gators did not even get a second half first down.
The Cougar offensive line dominated all night and led the Cougars to a 37-12 victory, their third in a row. The Gators fall to 1-2.
The Cougars, now undefeated with 3-0, have their third game in a week on Sunday against Generals Highway (2-1) at Corridor Park at 12:30 p.m.
