Learn From Judges What's Possible Without a Warrant

A panel of six judges will be at AACC on Wednesday to discuss modern privacy concerns.

A seminar at Anne Arundel Community College (AACC) on Wednesday will involve a panel of judges speaking on looming privacy concerns.

Judges from each level of the Maryland courts and a federal judge will meet to discuss: “The 4th Amendment: The Government Can Do What without a Warrant?”

The discussion will focus on privacy issues involving strip searches, blood testing and DNA collection, according to an announcement.

Judges scheduled to participate include:

  • Chief Judge Robert M. Bell, Court of Appeals of Maryland
  • Chief Magistrate Judge William Connelly, U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland
  • Judge Timothy E. Meredith, Court of Special Appeals of Maryland
  • Judge Laura S. Kiessling, Circuit Court for Anne Arundel County
  • Chief Judge Ben C. Clyburn, District Court of Maryland
  • Master in Chancery, Cynthia M. Ferris, Circuit Court for Anne Arundel County

The free panel will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday at the Cade Center, room 219, at the Arnold AACC campus, and is sponsored by the Legal Studies Institute at AACC.
