• California Walmart Reopens After Bomb Threat Investigation (thebaynet.com) — Walmart on Miramar Way in California, Md., was evacuated Saturday afternoon after a bomb threat was called into the store’s pharmacy, prompting road closures and a law-enforcement sweep. Deputies and state troopers found nothing and allowed the store to reopen about 5:40 p.m., while the investigation into who made the threat continues.
   

• 30 Oxycodone Pills Found In Baggie During California Hotel Arrest, Police Report (thebaynet.com) — A 47-year-old California, Md., resident faces a drug possession charge after deputies say they found 30 suspected Oxycodone pills in a plastic baggie during an arrest at the Super 8 on Three Notch Road. Court records show he was released on recognizance, with a St. Mary’s County District Court trial scheduled for August 13, 2026.
   

• Hollywood Man Arrested Again After Foot Chase While Awaiting Court Dates in Other Cases (smnewsnet.com) — A Hollywood man with several open St. Mary’s County cases is again facing charges, including an alleged theft of sports trading cards from the Target on First Colony Way in California. He’s also accused in separate drug-related incidents around Lexington Park, with multiple missed court dates and upcoming trials that could determine whether he remains free or held without bond.
