Barbara Fahey's Work is Now on Exhibit Through June

CATONSVILLE, MD (June 16, 2016) -- Actress Elizabeth Taylor once purchased three of Barbara Fahey's paintings. Fahey's work is now on exhibit through June in The Gallery at Charlestown retirement community.
Fahey, who is self-taught, began painting in the mid 1970's. She is a prolific, creative and gifted watercolorist.
She has won blue ribbons, first place and business purchase awards. Her sales supported her financial independence and Social Security retirement.

After two decades, on the day that she sold every one of her paintings at the annual "Arts in the Park Show" in Richmond, Virginia, she decided to close her art activity and began to write.
She moved to Charlestown in 2010, where she has resumed painting, now using many acrylics. Her "Heat of the Day" (acrylic) is seen in the above image.
