Bishop Daniel Payne - Educator and Banneker Advocate

Join us for an evening discussion about Bishop Daniel Payne, a minister, educator, abolitionist and long time Banneker advocate. Dr. Nelson Strobert, retired professor of religious education at Lutheran Theological Seminary at Gettysburg and author of Daniel Payne: The Venerable Preceptor of the African American Methodist Church, will give an engaging talk. Dr. Strobert will share his research finding about Payne and include Payne’s efforts to memorialize Benjamin Banneker in his discussion.
