Charlestown Begins to Provide Health Care to Retired Sulpician Priests
Priests Once Taught at Former St. Charles College Seminary

CATONSVILLE, MD (September 2, 2014) – Charlestown retirement community’s Home Support Services Team today began providing health care “outside the gates” to retired Sulpician priests living at the Charles Villa residence located on the grounds of St. Martin’s Home – Little Sisters of the Poor. The priests once taught at the former St. Charles College Seminary, the site of what is now Charlestown.
A total of eight Sulpician priests will receive health care inclusive of assistance with personal care needs, dining and medications. The health care services are being provided at the request of the Sulpician priests.
The Charlestown Home Support Services Team consisting of RNs, LPNs, and CNAs will provide health care 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Home Support Services Manager Mark McElwee will be located on-site at St. Charles Villa to ensure that the health care services and customer concerns are provided and addressed in accordance with Charlestown/Erickson Living standards.
