Charlestown Opens its Newly-Refurbished Employee Health and Wellness Center

Comprehensive Health Services Provided for 1,200 Full and Part-Time Employees

CATONSVILLE, MD (August 24, 2017) – Charlestown today opened its newly-refurbished Employee Health and Wellness Center for its more than 1,200 full and part-time employees. The center provides personal health and wellness, work-related services and safety promotion, workman’s compensation care and management, and health advocacy.

Employees may schedule routine medical appointments in the center and/or take advantage of new wellness initiatives to ensure good health. It is for employees 18 and older.

“At Erickson Living, we help people live better lives and are proud to provide at work employee health services and well-being benefits to benefit all employees,” said Craig. D. Thorne, M.D., MPH, MBA, Erickson Living Vice President and Medical Director, Employee Health and Wellness. “It’s just great to work for a company that truly cares about our employees as we do for the residents we serve.”

The center is operated under the auspices of Charlestown’s Human Resources Department. It part of an Erickson Living network of 18 similar centers nationwide. Nearly 40,000 visits, combined, were made to these centers last year
