Charlestown's Kathy Crouse Records Her Original Country Song
Loretta Lynn-esque "Shining Star" Tells Story of Crouse's Relentless Ability to Overcome Life's Challenges

CATONSVILLE, MD -- Charlestown retirement community resident Kathy Crouse is pictured in the Garrick Alden Studios in Silver Spring, MD, recording vocals for "Shining Star," a song she co-wrote with Dean Crawford, a past recipient of the Maryland Music Association's Songwriter of the Year award.
Crouse plays keyboard and Crawford, who is Charlestown's Medical Center Practice Administrator, plays guitar on the recording.
This Loretta Lynn-esque song tells the story of Crouse's relentless ability to overcome life's challenges.
