Charlestown's Stuffed Orioles Mascot Bird Chirps: "We Won't Stop"
Has Announced Orioles Game Scores for Past 16 Years

CATONSVILLE, MD (October 10, 2014) -- The score-calling stuffed mascot bird at Charlestown retirement community today chirped-in on the Orioles’ chances of beating the Kansas City Royals in the ALCS and going on to win the World Series.
”We won’t stop,” the bird said on an index card message he held.
The little bird has been announcing Orioles game scores -- the good, the bad and the ugly -- for the past 16 years.

His owner, resident Florence Wolfel, said she will keep the bird’s “We Won’t Stop” message outside her apartment until the Orioles’ postseason run ends.
”I hope it will stay up for a long time,” she said.
