Nature Trail at Charlestown Enchants

It is Home to Nearly 100 Wildflowers and a Box Turtle Named Chauncey

CATONSVILLE, MD (June 12, 2016) -- The Nature Trail at Charlestown follows historic Cross Creek's winding path through the center of the retirement community's 110-acre campus. It is an enchanting place for leisurely walks by residents and staff.

Nearly 100 wildflowers grow along the trail, which is regularly visited by rabbits, squirrels, geese, birds, and deer. A box turtle named Chauncey who was rescued two years ago by an employee has found habitat near the trail's covered bridge.

The trail's loop road entrance is at the Sally McBride memorial Butterfly Garden.
