Residents to Race Adopted Rubber Ducks to Raise Money for Benevolent Care

A “Quacktacular” Wednesday, October 14, Lucky Duck Race will see Charlestown retirement community residents participate with 350 rubber ducks to raise money for their Benevolent Care Fund, which helps residents who experience an unforeseen change in their financial situation for reasons beyond their control.

This unusual 10-minute race will begin at 1:30 p.m. in the Fitness/Aquatics Center at Charlestown, 715 Maiden Choice Lane, in Catonsville.

Residents from Charlestown’s Water Aerobics Group will jump into a 25-meter-long, 5-feet-deep pool and race 350 rubber ducks, which have been sponsored by staff and non-swimming residents with pledges of $5 to $10.
