Frederick Road Reopens Following Manhunt

A 0.6-mile stretch of Frederick Road was shut down Wednesday afternoon while tactical teams searched for the suspect in an officer assault.

CATONSVILLE, MD — Frederick Road was shut down in the area of Rolling Road Wednesday afternoon due to police activity. Officials said that the closure was related to the search for the suspect in Tuesday night's injury of a Maryland Natural Resources Police officer at Patapsco Valley State Park.

An individual had allegedly rammed an officer at the park with his vehicle upon being told the park was closed Tuesday night.

The search for the suspect was on Wednesday, as officials looked for a man with a beard driving a silver SUV.
