• Firefighters respond to two fires in Chevy Chase (bethesdamagazine.com) — Two separate fires broke out Monday afternoon at Chevy Chase properties near Wisconsin and Willard Avenues, including Wisconsin Place Apartments and the Collection at Chevy Chase office building. Firefighters quickly contained both incidents, with sprinklers helping douse a garage vehicle fire and no injuries reported, though smoke filled hallways and the parking structure while crews ventilated the buildings.
