3 Drivers Injured By Flying Ice On Area Roads: Maryland State Police
Is your vehicle a missile launcher? Maryland State Police urge drivers to clear ice from hood to trunk, after multiple injuries to drivers.

COLLEGE PARK, MD — Authorities are asking people to clear off their vehicles since several drivers were injured Wednesday due to flying ice.
In three cases, police said drivers suffered eye injuries when ice flew into their windshields from other vehicles, spraying glass into their faces.
Ice has reportedly flown off vehicles on Interstates 95 and 495, according to the Maryland State Police from the College Park barrack.

Flying ice is bad for everyone on the road, police said, because it can cause drivers to swerve and take other actions that may impact other travelers in the area and cause crashes.
"Troopers urge all drivers to take the time to clean their entire vehicle of ice and snow before traveling," police said in a statement Wednesday. "This includes clearing the hood, roof and trunk areas of the vehicle."
