Capitol One Bank Robbery Suspect Claimed to Have Bomb
The FBI and Prince George's County Police are asking for tips about a man who robbed the bank in Landover Hills.

Federal and local authorities are searching for a man who claimed he had a bomb when he robbed the Capitol One Bank in Landover Hills.
The FBI told WJZ TV that the suspect went into the bank Friday with a box under his arm and handed the clerk a note demanding money, claiming the box contained a bomb.

He took the money and fled, but left the box in the bank. A Prince George’s County Police bomb squad x-rayed the box and found no explosive device.
No injuries were reported.

Witnesses describe the suspect as a man with a mustache and wearing a hat, sunglasses, a long-sleeved gray shirt and blue jeans.
Anyone with information about the suspect is asked to call the FBI Baltimore at 410-265-8080.
