The first annual Walk for Wishes will be a community-wide celebration of the Make-A-Wish Foundation of the Mid-Atlantic’s commitment to granting the wishes of children with life-threatening diseases in Maryland, Delaware, Washington, D.C. and Northern Virginia. To help kickoff the inaugural walk, Make-A-Wish has invited each of the 7000 families the chapter has served to date to participate in the event.
Supporters of the Make-A-Wish Foundation can participate in the Walk for Wishes in a number of ways, including joining UnitedHealthcare as an official event sponsor, walking at the Comcast Center during the event, pledging financial support to other walkers, volunteering as event staff and donating in-kind goods and services. All funds raised by the Walk for Wishes will benefit future wish children throughout the Mid-Atlantic.
