Clyde's Plans Renovation and Expansion

Representatives of the Howard Hughes Corporation and Clyde's Restaurant Group have announced that Clyde’s of Columbia, the iconic lakefront restaurant, has renewed its lease.  The restaurant has committed to a 10-year term in its current 10,000-square-foot location.

“We are extremely pleased that we have re-signed Clyde’s as a tenant,” said John DeWolf, Senior Vice President of Development for Howard Hughes. “As a destination restaurant with so many loyal customers, we could not have a better operation to anchor the core lakefront restaurant area.”

Originally opened in 1975, Clyde’s will begin an extensive renovation and expansion to its space beginning in January.  The details of the project have yet to be completed.  In addition to Clyde’s, Howard Hughes will be undertaking some of the building renovation expense.

“The significant investment that Clyde’s and Howard Hughes are making is a signal to everyone that we believe Clyde’s will attract new customers for its operations, it will attract new businesses to lakefront, and it will continue to be a cornerstone of the downtown redevelopment at lakefront,” said DeWolf
