Attempted Burglary; Tablet Theft: Columbia Crime

Howard County police say they are also investigating a new batch of spray-painted vehicles.

The Howard County Police Department provided the following information about recent incidents.

An electronic tablet and charger were stolen from a residence in the 12200 block of Green Meadow Drive between 7:40 and 8:20 p.m. on Monday, June 8. There were no signs of forced entry.

Four people were seen trying to break into an apartment in the 5600 block of Stevens Forest Road at approximately 1:45 p.m. on Friday, June 5. They were trying to get in through a sliding glass door. When a witness approached them, the suspects fled. There were three males, including one wearing a backpack, and a female.

Multiple vehicles were spray-painted with white paint at a senior living complex in the 9800 block of Palace Hall Drive in Laurel. The vandalism occurred between 8 p.m. on Sunday, June 7, and 6 a.m. on Monday, June 8.

“Investigators are looking into the possibility that the incident may be linked to similar incidents earlier this year,” according to police, who said the investigation is ongoing.
