CaliBurger Opening in Columbia

COLUMBIA, MD – Burger fans, rejoice. CaliBurger is opening at The Metropolitan this month.

The burger joint that will officially open its doors to the public on Monday, May 16.

In addition to burgers, the menu includes a BBQ chicken sandwich, chicken sandwich with avocado mayonnaise, milkshakes and fries (regular or "Cali style," covered with melted American cheese, grilled sweet onions and special sauce).

This week the restaurant is holding soft launch, including a special event for service members that is open to the public.

Public service members—police, firefighters, EMTs, teachers and government workers—will receive a free burger with the purchase of fries anytime between 10:30 a.m. and 10 p.m. on Wednesday, May 11, when CaliBurger will be open and will donate 15 percent of the day's proceeds to the Special Olympics of Howard County.

CaliBurger is at 10000 Town Center Avenue in Columbia at The Metropolitan, where MOD Pizza, Corner Bakery Cafe and Floyd's Barbershop are located.

The Metropolitan includes more than 300 residences in addition to businesses and features a public promenade area with sculptures.
