Columbia Bar Named Among Best In US By The Daily Meal

COLUMBIA, MD — You can find your share of good bars in the Baltimore-Washington area. But in Columbia, you'll find the 130th best bar in the country, according to a new report.

The Daily Meal gave AIDA Bistro & Wine Bar in Columbia reason to raise a glass by listing it among the "150 Best Bars In America For 2018."

To compile its rankings, the food and drink website used the feedback of its staff, readers and special council made up of restaurateurs, authors and industry insiders. Of consideration were drinks, mixology, bartenders, experience, cuisine and regional import.

The Daily Meal made mention of the "Wine on Tap" system and the Wine Club at AIDA Bistro & Wine Bar as factors in its being named the 130th Best Bar in America.

Through the Wine on Tap program, AIDA diners can sample any of 30 wines that rotate monthly. Patrons may order a 5-oz glass, 10-oz carafe or 20-oz carafe. Read more about the Wine on Tap program at AIDA.

The restaurant also offers a Wine Club that for $50 a year or $150 for a lifetime gives members exclusive access to tastings, discounts and special wine events.

This is not the first national recognition for AIDA Bistro & Wine Bar. In 2014, OpenTable named it as having one of the top 100 wine lists in America. It was celebrated for its bottle list and Wine on Tap program.
