HCC Postpones Commencement Due To Coronavirus
Online classes at Howard Community College are scheduled to begin March 30.
HOWARD COUNTY, MD — Starting March 30, Howard Community College will move to online classes for the rest of the spring 2020 semester. The college's annual commencement ceremony also has been postponed. According to the college's website, a new date will be announced later. All college events are canceled through May 31.
College officials ask that any students who travel out of state or abroad for spring break notify the school. The college also advised against travel to any countries with level two or level three travel advisories.

The college continues to follow guidance from the Howard County Health Department, Maryland Department of Health, and the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention for making its decisions. Additionally, the college is monitoring what is taking place at the public schools and area colleges and universities.
