County Reschedules Tree Lighting at Centennial Park
Christmas in the Park, originally planned for Tuesday in Howard County, was postponed.
The wet weather has delayed the winter holiday kickoff in Howard County just a bit.
The tree lighting at Centennial Park, planned for Tuesday, Dec. 1, has been rescheduled because of rain.
The Department of Recreation and Parks announced Tuesday that the ceremony will be held on Thursday, Dec. 3.

The Howard High School Chamber Choir will provide the carols, and County Executive Allan Kittleman will help light the tree along with Santa Claus and seasonal guests. There will be hot chocolate at the event.
The tree lighting will be from 6-7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 3, at Centennial Park, 10000 Route 108, Ellicott City.
