Driver Dies In Route 108 Crash: Police
A driver died in a crash on Route 108 near Hall Shop Road, police said.

HIGHLAND, MD — Police said one man died in a crash on MD 108/Clarksville Pike Monday afternoon in Howard County. The road was closed for about three hours in the area.
The crash in the 13000 block of Clarksville Pike happened around 1 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 30, according to the Howard County Police Department. One vehicle was involved, officials said.
A 2004 Nissan Maxima had been headed west on Route 108 when it left the road and hit a guardrail past Hall Shop Road, according to police. The man driving, who was the only person in the car, died at the scene, authorities reported.

By 4:15 p.m., officials said Route 108 was reopened; previously, it had been closed for investigation between the Montgomery County line and Hall Shop Road.
