Howard County Public School System Makes Weather Decision For Jan. 7
With snow in the forecast for Friday, HCPSS has announced its plan for Friday classes. Another storm could drop 2 to 3 inches.
HOWARD COUNTY, MD — As of 5:50 a.m., Howard County public schools including the Digital Education Center and all offices were closed Friday. All evening activities involving HCPSS students and staff are canceled and all community-sponsored programs held in HCPSS buildings are canceled.
HCPSS COVID testing for staff and student-athletes has been canceled. A vaccine clinic, made possible by Giant Pharmacy at Oakland Mills Middle School, also has been canceled and will be rescheduled for Jan. 11 from 4-7 p.m.
A two-hour late start originally had been announced for the Howard County Public School System Thursday evening.
