Armed Robber Takes Jacket; TV Found in Backyard; Shoes Stolen: Columbia Crime Blotter

Two gaming systems were also stolen, according to Howard County police.

The Howard County Police Department provided the following information about recent incidents in Columbia:

A man was held up at gunpoint outside his home off Oakland Mills Road Sunday afternoon. The suspect approached a resident in the 6300 block of Raritan Court and showed a gun before taking the victim’s jacket. The street robbery happened at 3:55 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 9.

A TV was found near the 9400 block of Kilimanjaro Road, where someone reported seeing four people walking through a backyard with a television at approximately 2 p.m. on Sunday.

Sometime between 11 a.m. and 8 p.m. on Sunday, shoes, jackets and a bag were stolen from the 5600 block of Columbia Road. It was not immediately clear how the person got into the residence.

The back window of a Hickory Ridge residence was broken in a burglary over the weekend. A game system was stolen between 7 p.m. on Saturday and 8 a.m. on Sunday from the 6600 block of Hawkeye Run.

A television and game system were stolen from a residence in Hickory Ridge recently, reported after the fact. The burglary in the 6600 block of Dovecote Drive happened sometime between Oct. 31 and Nov. 5.
