MOD Pizza Opens in Columbia

There’s a new pizza place in Columbia, and it offers patrons a personalized way to order.

At MOD Pizza by The Metropolitan, diners select the crust and ingredients for their pie, from the sauce to the cheeses, veggies, meats, spices, herbs and finishing touches.

As they order, a MOD employee builds the pizza behind an ingredient bar, in the style of restaurants like Subway and Chipotle.

Then the pizza goes into the oven and comes out within minutes.

The restaurant also offers salads, milkshakes, floats and sides.

MOD Pizza is located at 10000 Town Center Drive in Columbia.

Hours are 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., Sunday to Thursday; and 10:30 a.m. to 11 p.m., Friday and Saturday. Winter hours will start in November: 10:30 a.m. to 9 p.m., Sunday to Thursday; and 10:30 a.m. to 11 p.m., Friday and Saturday.
