The Columbia branch opened in 1988 as a way to take pressure off the Gaithersburg location, which is one of the busiest centers and had long wait times, according to a statement from the MVA.
After its recent renovations, the Dobbin Road building encompasses 5,010 square feet. While it officially opened Oct. 20, officials held a ribbon cutting on Oct. 28 to celebrate its expansion.
