Reward Doubles In Columbia Murder Case
Information about the shooting death of Meiko Anthony Locksley on Harpers Farm Road in Columbia may qualify for a $10,000 reward.
COLUMBIA, MD — Police have increased the reward for information in the death of a 25-year-old Columbia man found shot on Harpers Farm Road in September. Tips regarding the shooting of Meiko Anthony Locksley may be eligible for $10,000.
Locksley, 25, of Grand Banks Road in Columbia, died Sept. 3. Authorities say they believe he may have been killed in a drug-related robbery. Investigators said that Locksley appeared to have been targeted.
Police said a resident found Locksley outside in the 5500 block of Harpers Farm Road and called 911 at 10:20 p.m. on Sept. 3.

He was taken to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center, where he was pronounced deceased, officials said.
The victim's father is Mike Locksley, an assistant coach for the University of Alabama who also coached football at the University of Maryland and Towson University after graduating from Towson in 1992.

Initially, police offered a $5,000 reward for information in the case. On Tuesday, Nov. 28, officials announced the reward was now $10,000 after 12 weeks had not resulted in any arrests.
