
Junior Achievement of Central Maryland has appointed Shawn Davis to a three-year term on its board of directors.
As senior vice president for the Transamerica Agency Network in Baltimore, Davis oversees 95 branch offices and nearly 1,600 employees. Prior to that, he was the company’s senior vice president and chief marketing officer.
He previously held positions at Life Investors Financial Group and Western Reserve Life Assurance Co., and has 10 years of experience in marketing and business development for the financial services industry.

“So many personal, family and business issues can be traced to financial and business acumen. The earlier we start with our youth of America, the better they and we as a country will be in the future,” Davis said. “JA is the only organization I am aware that is trying to solve this problem nationwide.”
Davis received a bachelor’s degree in finance from Drake University. He lives in Fulton with his wife, Kati, and their children, Lindsay and Rex.

Junior Achievement of Central Maryland is dedicated to inspiring and preparing young people to succeed in a global economy.
