Missing Columbia Man Has Been Found Safe: Police
A Columbia man has been found in a neighboring jurisdiction, police said.

UPDATE: A silver alert has been canceled Friday night after a missing Columbia man was found. Police said the 75-year-old was located in a neighboring jurisdiction.
Previous Report (expired) — A Columbia man is missing, and police said he may be in Baltimore County. Authorities have issued a silver alert for the man, who left home Friday morning with plans to go to Snowden Square. The shopping center is about a 10-minute drive from his house. Hours later, he called a relative from north Baltimore County and said he did not know where he was.
Francis Everett Lucas Jr., 75, was last seen leaving his home in the 5200 block of Hayledge Court, police said. It was 10:30 a.m. when he left, and officials said after 6 p.m. he still hadn't been found. Due to age-related health concerns, authorities say they are worried about his well-being.

Lucas was driving a dark blue 2011 Ford Edge with Maryland tags 36115CF, according to police.
Police said he contacted a family member at 2:45 p.m. on Friday, June 7, to say he got lost on the way to the store and did not know where he was. Afterward, his family contacted police.

Based on a ping of his phone at the time, authorities said he could have been in the area of Falls Road at Old Lyme Road in Brooklandville.
As of 6:05 p.m., area checks had not been successful, and authorities asked the public for help in locating Lucas.
He is described as 5-feet-9-inches tall and 160 pounds.
Anyone who sees Lucas or his vehicle is asked to call 911.
