COLUMBIA, MD — Howard Community College has received a $500,000 grant from the Rouse Company Foundation to establish a free week-long math academy for incoming students who struggled with their math placement exam.

The math academy will help students who tested into developmental math be prepared for collegiate level math classes. Small scholarships will be available to those who attend the summer academy.
