'Tis the Season for Holiday Fun at the Mall in Columbia
Santa Claus Comes to Town Thursday, November 8
It’s beginning to look a lot like the holidays at The Mall in Columbia! Santa’s elves have been working diligently to prepare for St. Nick’s arrival at the mall on November 8 at 10am. Santa will make his first appearance of the season with Miss Julie and her special guests, the Milkshake Duo, during festive Family Fun Day and will settle in to his home away from home.
Santa’s house will be located in Lord & Taylor Court, Lower Level. As Santa greets visitors and listens to holiday wishes of kids of all ages, his elves will be nearby, prepared to lend a helping hand and snap a commemorative photo. Guests can avoid the line to meet Santa by reserving their visit time at www.themallincolumbia.com. Santa will be at The Mall in Columbia daily through Monday, December 24.
New this season, children will have the opportunity to check for their names on Santa’s Naughty or Nice List. Before their visit with Santa, parents have the opportunity to register their children in the program at www.SantasNaughtyAndNiceBook.com, provide details like what they want for Christmas, what their family elf’s name is and indicate if their child is naughty or nice. Once registered, children will have the opportunity to take a look at Santa’s book during their visit to the mall and find out what list they are on. Parents can change their child’s status as many times as they want throughout the season and return to the center to check Santa’s special book. Registration for this magical experience will be available on November 1.

Miss Julie & Friends will celebrate Santa’s grand arrival during Family Fun Day. Children can welcome Santa with reindeer antlers and holiday bells, while the Milkshake Duo puts on a special musical performance to kick off the holiday season.
Merry Beary Scavenger Hunt
Date: November 17 – December 31
The Mall in Columbia will host its Merry Beary Scavenger Hunt throughout the holiday season. Extra-large teddy bears will be hidden throughout the mall, waiting to be found! Shoppers go store to store, marking off where they saw a hidden teddy bear on the scavenger hunt’s map. After they find all of the hidden bears, shoppers return their completed map to a designated retailer to receive a special gift.
Breakfast with Santa
Date: December 1 and 8
Time: 8 – 9:30am
Location: Seasons 52
Price: $15 per person
Wake up bright and early to have breakfast with Jolly Ole’ Saint Nick! Families can enjoy some one-on-one time with Santa while enjoying a delicious breakfast from Seasons 52! Proceeds from the event will benefit Grassroots Crisis Intervention Center.
Winter Wonderland Festival
Date: December 1
Time: 1pm – 5pm
Location: Nordstrom Court, Lower Level
Brush off those snowflakes and stop by The Mall in Columbia for Winter Wonderland Festival! Join us for a free, family-friendly event featuring a silent disco, activities, arts and crafts, and giveaways! There will also be surprise special appearances by a few favorite winter characters.
New Retailers Now Open
New this holiday, shoppers can enjoy The Mall in Columbia’s many new retailers including Barnes & Noble, Sock Appeal, The LEGO store, Peloton and more!
The Mall in Columbia will have extended hours starting on Thanksgiving. The season’s extended hours can be found on the Mall’s website.
