Two Wanted in Taxi Driver Stabbing in Columbia

Do these two look familiar? Howard County police say there's a reward of up to $1,500 for info.

Officials are asking for help identifying two people suspected in a recent armed robbery attempt in Columbia.

Police said the two people pictured took a cab ride the day before Thanksgiving and instead of paying, one whipped out a handgun and the other cut the taxi driver with a knife.

The crime occurred before 9 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 25, police reported.

The driver was treated for non-life-threatening injuries at Howard County General Hospital, the report stated.

According to police, the driver had locked the cab doors upon realizing the two passengers were trying to get out of the vehicle in the 7100 block of Talisman Lane without paying, and that’s when they pulled out their weapons.

Authorities said that after being stabbed, the driver unlocked the doors, and the two suspects got away.
