Virtue in an Age of Promiscuity

A message to women and girls...

This is a message for all God-fearing women and girls who may seek to know more about Christ, and how God wants Christians to relate to the world. And it all starts with relationship. A Christian’s happiness should be predicated on his or her relationship with Jesus Christ, and bolstered by a level of self-esteem and self-respect that prevents him or her from drifting wherever the wind blows or being led by whomever commands attention. When people are happy with themselves, when they honor, respect, and love themselves, they are conscious of their worth. But what is the measure by which people determine that worth? Some use a worldly measure. Others use the measure of Jesus Christ.

Walking in virtue, worthy of God, is the subject of an annual region-wide ladies retreat that attracts approximately 350 women and girls in one place to gain practical advice and scriptural guidance on how to live virtuously. Ladies of Virtue, an educational event designed to encourage ladies of all ages and backgrounds to develop or enhance their virtuous character, also known as Virtue 2017, will be held at the Sheraton Columbia March 3-4, 2015. Through the application of scriptural knowledge, sisters in the Body of Christ should discover the importance of having worth in Jesus Christ and internalize the character of virtue in their daily lives.

The Northeast Baltimore Bible Institute and College (www.nbbic.net), in conjunction with Virtue in Christ (www.virtueinChrist.org), will host this region-wide annual retreat on virtuous living. Ladies from all over the mid-Atlantic, and extending as far south as South Carolina and as far north as Massachusetts, will convene in Columbia MD for fellowship and to study the word to obtain invaluable information and tools for practical application in their lives.
