What's Open, Closed in Columbia for Memorial Day 2015

Information on holiday weekend events, trash pickup and more.

All county government offices, courts, the animal shelter and the landfill will be closed on Monday, May 25, in observance of the Memorial Day holiday. The full list of closures is below.

There will be no trash, recycling or yard waste collection on Monday, May 25, and the county’s holiday “slide” schedule will be in effect.

The Hickory Ridge village office will close at 3 p.m. Friday, remaining closed through Monday, May 25. The office will reopen on Tuesday, May 26, at 9:30 a.m. Rentals and church services will be held as scheduled.

All parking regulations and fees will be in effect.

The 9-1-1 Center, Police and Fire departments remain staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week. For emergencies, call 9-1-1; for non-emergencies, please call 410-313-2200.

Howard County offices will re-open at regular business hours on Tuesday, May 26.
