• Trapping Bid Packets for 2026-2027 Season Now Available for Eastern Shore Public Lands (maryland.gov) — Local trappers interested in Deal Island Wildlife Management Area can now pick up bid packets for 2026–2027 trapping privileges at the Wellington Wildlife Management Area in Princess Anne, with submissions due by noon October 14. Sealed bids for Deal Island and other Eastern Shore sites will be opened that afternoon, and full trapping requirements and licenses are available through Maryland DNR’s online resources.
