Dundalk Pair Finish 1-2 at Heritage 6K
Sean Caskey and Christopher Sufczynski, a pair of 20-year-old college runners, swept the top two places at the annual July 4 run.

Two 20-year-old runners from Dundalk swept the top spots at the annual Heritage Independence 6K earlier this week.
Sean Caskey hit the tape with a winning time of 20:38, averaging a 5:35-mile pace over the 3.72-mile run that starts at the Community College of Baltimore County-Dundalk and traces much of the annual parade route through town to Heritage Park.
Caskey bested Christopher Sufczynski, also 20 and from Dundalk, who took second place with a time of 20:57. Caskey, a Calvert Hall College High School graduate, runs track and cross country at Mount St. Mary’s University in Emmitsburg. Sufczynski, an Eastern Tech grad, is a distance runner at Salisbury University.

Zach Sell, 22, also of Dundalk, finished in the top 10, posting a time of 22:16, good enough for seventh place overall. Dundalk native George Weber III, 48, took 15th overall, in 24:49. Christopher Mahone, 18, of Dundalk, posted a time of 25:32, 23rd overall.
Whitney Hora, 18, of Kingsville, topped the female side of the race, posting a winning time of 23:40, averaging a 6:24-mile pace. Hora bested Elizabeth Taubet, also 18, of Bel Air, who finished in second place, by three seconds.

Overall, 358 runners finished the event, 40 of whom noted their hometown as Dundalk, Miller’s Island or Sparrows Point. The complete results can be found here at Charm City Run, which manages the race, proceeds from which benefit Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center's Community Health Care Programs.
