WATCH: Dundalk St. Patrick's Day Parade 2018

The annual parade honoring Dundalk's Irish heritage drew crowds as well as dogs, clowns, bagpipers and other entertainers.

DUNDALK, MD — The St. Patrick's Day Parade drew crowds onto their front stoops and Dundalk Avenue on Saturday, March 17. Floats, cars, marching musicians and other entertainers delighted parade-goers, who bundled up to watch in the 40-degree weather.

Held in tribute to the area's Irish heritage, the Dundalk parade began at Logan Village Shopping Center. Pipers, clowns, dancers, Girl Scouts, dogs and others coursed along the parade route on Dundalk Avenue to Heritage Park in the event sponsored by the Dundalk Chamber of Commerce.

It started at 11 a.m. and ended before noon.

The St. Patrick's Day Parade has been happening for more than a decade in Dundalk. The event in Baltimore County began in 2006, according to an Irish entertainment site that shared the news.

Dundalk, Ireland, will hold its annual St. Patrick's Day Parade at 1 p.m., where the theme for 2018 is "Dream Big Dundalk."
