Maryland Lottery: Dundalk Sells Winning Ticket

A Dundalk grocery store sold one of the $1 million Powerball tickets.

The Dundalk Giant sold one of two Powerball tickets worth $1 million over the weekend, and as a result, it will reap some rewards, according to the Maryland Lottery.

In Powerball, players pick six numbers, and drawings are held every Wednesday and Saturday. Since the game spans 44 states, there are large jackpots.

Saturday's winning numbers were 03, 07, 21, 44, 53 and Power Ball 16.

There was no jackpot winner over the weekend, but two tickets were only off by one number, the Powerball number. Those ticketholders will win $1 million.

The Merritt Boulevard grocery store will receive $2,500 for selling one of the two $1 million tickets. the Marlyand Lottery said in a press release.

In addition to Dundalk, a $1 million ticket was sold in Taneytown, according to lottery officials.

Winners have 182 days to claim their prize, according to the lottery.

Since no one hit the jackpot Saturday, the Maryland Lottery said that Wednesday’s drawing will be worth $260 million.
