• Maryland National Guard deploys 300 soldiers to Africa (wbaltv.com) — Hundreds of Maryland National Guard soldiers based at the Dundalk Readiness Center have just shipped out for a months-long deployment to the Horn of Africa, supporting counterterrorism and regional security. Families gathered in Dundalk Monday morning for a sendoff ceremony as the 1st Battalion, 175th Infantry Regiment departed for Camp Lemonnier in Djibouti, where they'll work alongside U.S. and allied forces.
