Prep Wrestlng: Sparrows Point Beats Catonsville 45-36

With his Pointer squad up 3 points, Nate Borkowicz just had to win in the 170 pound class and the senior wrestler's team would beat the undefeated Catonsville squad.

With 20 seconds left, Borkowicz found himself almost flat on his back, and losing. But he fought off of his back, reversed the hold that Comet Adam Dye had on him and forced Dye to his back for the pin with 9-seconds remaining in the match.

A pin to win, and a pin to start.

In the meet's first match, Pointer James Krug pinned Trevra Jackson in the second period to give his team a 6-0 lead.

T.J. Henry of Catonsville claimed a pin of his own over Austin Milam at 195.

The Comets would build an 18-6 lead when Sparrows Point's Chris Petrovia pinned Michael Thome at 106. Tony Collurafaci pinned Comet Adam Sattier. Then the Comots stretched that lead to 36-24 before Sparrows Point rallied four straight victories with Cody Geno, Shane Hammer, Teddy Cadd and Borkowicz all producing victories for the Pointers.

The Dundalk Owls also produced a victory with an 81-0 victory over Chesapeake.
