The Show Must Go On ... Later

Pat McConough's show to discuss topic of Muslim prayer at Dulaney High will be rescheduled

As you may have read, the situation began with the Tom Marr radio show on WCBM, when a caller spoke of the practice of allowing Muslim students to pray during school hours at Dulaney High.

In a response to that issue, I wrote a subsequent blog regarding the parent of a Christian student who was denied his right to express his beliefs by wearing a baseball cap with a cross on it. Add to that my filing of a Public Information Act request to the Baltimore County Schools regarding their policy on this matter. That all led to this topic being discussed on the Pat McDonough radio show on WCBM tonight from 8 pm to 10 pm.

Unfortunately, Mr. McDonough has been stricken with the flu, so we have decided to postpone the show topic until Mr. McDonough makes a (hopefully speedy) recovery. We felt it would not be fair at the last minute to involve Ms. Susan Payne, who will be filling in for Pat on tonight’s show.

Simply put, this topic is a hot button issue and can be quite complicated in understanding the many aspects that enter the picture.

I will keep you posted regarding my PIA, as well as the date and time for the rescheduled discussion on the Pat McDonough Show on WCBM.
