Arrest Made in Lothian Gas Station Armed Robbery

A woman at Lothian Service Center was robbed at knifepoint Saturday. Tips led to the arrest of a Chesapeake Beach man, police say.

Lothian, MD — Tips from the public have led to an arrest in the armed robbery of a Lothian auto garage and gas station, police say.

Anne Arundel County Police say the hold-up was reported at 7:15 p.m. Saturday at the Lothian Service Center, 5891 Southern Maryland Boulevard.

A white man between 20 and 30 years old entered the business, produced a knife and demanded money. The victim was in fear for her safety and complied with the demand, police say. The suspect fled the business with an unknown amount of money.

Investigators received several tips from the community about a possible suspect in the case. The man was already wanted on a violation of probation warrant.

Members of the department’s Fugitive Apprehension Team located and arrested Walter Louis Myers IV, 31, of Chesapeake Beach, on Tuesday.

He is charged with armed robbery and lesser included charges.
