'Bartender Doyle' Serving Up Drinks at Stan and Joe's
Doyle's first night of margarita making at Stan and Joe's in Edgewater will be Wednesday.

Edgewater's favorite bartender has found a new home. The man known as Bartender Doyle will now be serving up his famous margaritas at Stan and Joe's Saloon in Edgewater.
Doyle said his first night at Stan and Joe's will be on Wednesday—he will be starting at 5 p.m.
"I'm only working on Wednesday and Saturday nights to start and will kick it up next month," Doyle said. "Happy hour is until 7 p.m. and, for the first time in history, you can get my margarita (as well as my other concoctions) half price during that time. But only on Wednesdays from 5 to 7 p.m."

Owners Joe McGovern and Stan Fletcher said they were thrilled that Doyle would be joining their staff at Stan and Joe's.
"The important thing about running a good, local saloon is a good, local staff," McGovern said. "Having Doyle’s caliber and getting him in behind our bar makes us really proud. It’s like we just picked up a great baseball player with spring in the air. We are thrilled."

Added Fletcher, "We’re excited about it. It brings a different element to our place and we feel like it is a good match."
Doyle formerly worked at La Fiesta, where he was voted Edgewater's best bartender, but left the restaurant in February. He said he was excited to start his new endeavor at Stan and Joe's and serve up some margaritas—something McGovern is also anticipating.
"I love a good margarita, and now we are going to have the best in town," McGovern said.
